Discover 15,000 years of Canadian history through the lives of those who experienced it, with a private guided tour of the Canadian Museum of History. Continue with an Indigenous traditional dance and tour of the on-site Indigenous village. After, climb aboard a traditional Montréal canoe to trace the route of voyageurs during the late 1700s, as you explore the Ottawa River and its rich historical surroundings.

Day 1
Winnipeg Passengers: Depart from Winnipeg to Ottawa. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Toronto Passengers: Travel by Via Rail from Toronto to Ottawa. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. All Passengers: Take a panoramic sightseeing tour of Ottawa before checking in at the hotel. Tonight, enjoy a Contemporary Food & Wine Tour at Ottawa’s famous Byward Market. D
Day 2
Ottawa – Tour Parliament Hill before embarking on your Extraordinary Experience: A private guided tour of the Canadian History Museum, followed by an Indigenous traditional dance and canoe excursion. B

Ottawa – Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier. This evening, take in Canada Day fireworks from the water on an exclusive private yacht. B/L/T

Day 1
Ottawa
Winnipeg Passengers: Fly to Ottawa. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to the train station, to pick up the passengers travelling from Toronto.
Toronto Passengers: Travel to Ottawa by train. Upon arrival, meet your guide and the rest of your group.
All Passengers: Enroute to the hotel, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Canadian capital – Ottawa. You’ll see Parliament Hill, Sparks Street, Rideau Hall, Laurier House and the Rideau Canal. Rich in history, the city abounds with museums ranging from the Science and Technology Museum and the National Gallery of Canada, to the most modern and unique – the Civilization Museum, which confirms the origins of the Canadian man.
For dinner this evening, enjoy a contemporary food and wine tour in the Byward Market. Stop at four of the market’s top restaurants, allowing them to showcase their relaxing atmosphere and award-winning cuisine. Each restaurant represents one course of your meal and is paired with hand-selected wines. (D)

Ottawa

This morning you will have a tour of Parliament Hill. In the afternoon is your Extraordinary Experience: a private guided tour of Canadian Museum of History with the added Indigenous traditional dance and a ride on a Rabaska Canoe.
Discover 15,000 years of Canadian history through the lives of those who experienced it. Following a fascinating guided tour and traditional dance, climb aboard a traditional Montreal canoe to trace the route of voyageurs during the late 1700s, as you explore the Ottawa River and its rich historical surroundings. Ottawa
Breakfast at the hotel.
The morning is at your leisure to explore Ottawa on your own. This afternoon, walk with the group to the Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel and have traditional afternoon tea. The menu features famous English scones, open-faced sandwiches and exquisite sweets.
In the evening, stroll to the pier and enjoy a two hour evening private yacht cruise to view Canada Day fireworks. Snacks and drinks are included. (B/L/T)

Montreal
Breakfast at the hotel.
You will have some leisure time prior to departing for Montreal. Along the way, stop for lunch at Sucrerie de la Montagne (sugar shack).
Arrive in Montreal and check-in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. (B/L)
Day 5
Montreal
Breakfast at the hotel.
This morning, visit the Montreal Botanical Gardens for a guided tour. Afterwards, enjoy a peaceful picnic lunch at Maisonneuve Park catered by Schwartz’s Deli. Lunch includes wine, sandwich, pickles and a small dessert. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. (B/L)
Day 6
Montreal
Breakfast at hotel.
This morning you will have a city tour of Montreal. During the sightseeing tour you will drive through the city centre and its main shopping areas, the underground city, Old Montreal and Place Jacques Cartier. Stop and visit Notre Dame Cathedral then continue to see trendy St. Denis Street and Mt. Royal with its exclusive residential areas.
Next enjoy a ride on La Grande Roue (a private gondola) before your foodie tour of Old Montreal. Old Montreal is a unique European-style district. Its historic buildings, narrow streets and flourishing foodie scene make it a mix of exciting elements to taste and discover. Through public squares, landmarks and eateries, our Old Montreal Food Tour allows you to experience the culinary scene locals love so much, all while learning about the surrounding network of historic sites. Includes three sit- down restaurants and 1 brewpub. Enjoy Montreal’s French cuisine at its best! (B/L)
