About the Trip
For a Gold Rush-worthy adventure, head out west. Your journey starts in Vancouver with a tour of the city’s scenic waterfront on a Zodiac boat, before boarding the ms Koningsdam for a three-night Alaskan cruise. After cruising through the glacier-dotted Inside Passage, disembark in charming Skagway, where you’ll walk in the steps of gold rushers and visit the immersive Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. From there, head to Yukon to follow the route of Klondike gold stampers in Dawson City, then return to Alaska for a three-night stay at Denali National Park. Here, take in the state’s breathtaking natural beauty, viewing the Denali mountain, North America’s highest peak, and its vast wilderness.

Fjords, harbours and Granite Falls by Zodiac
See Vancouver the way it is best seen – from the water. This three-hour tour in a Zodiac inflatable boat starts at Granville Island. You’ll cross False Creek and follow the coastline as your guide points out Vancouver’s iconic waterfront landmarks, including the Burrard Street bridge and Siwash Rock, the city’s most-photographed natural formation. Continue through Vancouver Harbour and on to Deep Cove and Indian Arm, a glacial fjord with a backdrop of steep granite cliffs that can only be seen by boat.

Activity Level: Moderate. Retrace the path of the historic Gold Rush and explore the natural wonders of the magnificent Denali on this adventure through Alaska and the Yukon by sea and rail.
Day 1
Depart from Toronto or Winnipeg to Vancouver. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the city.
Day 2
Vancouver – Today is your Extraordinary Experience: A tour of Granite Falls by Zodiac. You’ll cruise through Vancouver Harbour into Deep Cove and further up Indian Arm where you’ll witness the natural fjord leading to Granite Falls. After the tour, return to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. B
Day 3
Vancouver – Transfer to the cruise terminal and board the Koningsdam for a three-night Alaska Cruise. B
Day 4
Inside Passage − Scenic cruising.
Day 5
Tracy Arm Inlet and Juneau.
Day 6
Skagway – Disembark and meet your Journey Host to learn about your upcoming adventure. This evening, there will be a group event given by your Journey Host.

Skagway – Explore Skagway on your own or take an optional excursion. B

Whitehorse – Depart Skagway aboard the historic White Pass train to Fraser, then by coach to Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon. B

Dawson City – Your morning is free to take an optional excursion. In the afternoon, enjoy a nostalgic Yukon River paddle-wheeler cruise aboard the Klondike Spirit B

Denali National Park – After a step back in time to pan for gold at the historic Gold Dredge 8, it’s off to magnificent Denali. B

After a step back in time to pan for gold at the historic Gold Dredge 8, it's off to magnificent Denali for a leisurely three-night stay. At an impressive 20,310 feet above sea level, it’s no surprise that Denali is referred to as “the Great One”. B

Denali National Par
Today features the unforgettable Tundra Wilderness Tour. This fully-narrated five to six hour sightseeing excursion takes you into the heart of Denali National Park. The tour goes to mile 43 (due to road construction) but it continues to offer the best opportunity to view Denali’s iconic wildlife and North America’s tallest peak. B/S
