Morocco’s fascinating imperial cities, mountain landscapes and vast desert horizons are the focus of this 15-day journey designed to balance cultural discovery with relaxed exploration. Begin in Casablanca before travelling to the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the timeless streets of Fes, where cooking experiences and slower-paced medina visits offer a deeper look into everyday life. Continue through the Middle Atlas into the Sahara, where desert villages, traditional music and a luxury camp beneath the stars create unforgettable memories. Travel onward through dramatic gorges, kasbahs and Atlas Mountain scenery before ending in Marrakech, where gardens, food tours and colourful souks bring this ancient land to life.

Evening Beneath Sahara Skies
Experience a unique side of Morocco with an overnight stay at Madu Luxury Desert Camp, set among the golden dunes of Merzouga. Day 1
Depart from Toronto or Winnipeg on your overnight flight to Morocco.
Day 2
Casablanca – Arrive in Casablanca and meet your tour director. Visit the elegant Habous district and the spectacular Hassan II Mosque before a traditional welcome dinner. (D)
Day 3
Fes – Travel inland toward Fes with a stop at Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman site. Continue to Fes and settle into your hotel. (B)
Day 4
Fes – Explore the medieval city with your guide, admiring historic monuments, elegant madrasas and the atmosphere of the medina. (B)
Day 5
Fes – Enjoy a Moroccan cooking experience with a local chef, followed by lunch. Afternoon is at leisure. (B/L)
Day 6
Midelt – Travel through the Middle Atlas, with time to enjoy this quieter region of Morocco. Arrive in Midelt with time to rest before dinner. (B/D)
Day 7
Merzouga – Continue south through changing landscapes and desert horizons to Merzouga, arriving with time to unwind before dinner. (B/L/D)
Day 8
Merzouga – Travel by 4x4 vehicles to Khamlia village for a hands-on workshop preparing Medfouna, traditional Berber pizza, followed by lunch. Continue to Madu Luxury Desert Camp for dinner and traditional music beneath the Saharan desert stars. (B/L/D)
Day 9
Boumalne Dades – Leave the desert behind and visit Todgha Gorge before continuing to Boumalne Dades for a tea ceremony with locals. (B/D)
Day 10
Marrakech – Visit Aït Ben Haddou, the country’s most famous ksar (North African fortified village) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before crossing the High Atlas towards Marrakech. (B/L)
Day 11
Marrakech – Discover Marrakech through a guided city and food tour featuring key monuments, local flavours and the lively medina. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 12
Marrakech – Visit Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum. Optional cultural activity or free time in Marrakech. (B)
Day 13
Marrakech – Spend the day in the High Atlas Mountains with lunch hosted by a local family in a traditional Berber village. (B/L)
Day 14
Casablanca – Return to Casablanca for the final evening of the journey. Remainder of day at leisure. (B)
Day 15
Transfer to Casablanca airport for your return flight home. (B)

Casablanca
Arrive in Casablanca and meet your tour director for a warm welcome to Morocco. After lunch, begin with a guided visit of the elegant Habous district and the spectacular Hassan II Mosque, dramatically set above the Atlantic Ocean and considered one of the country’s most remarkable landmarks. Check in at your hotel and enjoy a welcome dinner in a traditional Moroccan setting. (D)
Day 3
Fes
Travel inland towards Fes, with a stop at Volubilis, Morocco’s best-preserved Roman site, where grand arches, mosaics and ancient ruins tell the story of a once-flourishing city. Continue to Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco, and settle into your hotel. (B)
Day 4
Fes
Today is devoted to the timeless beauty of Fes, one of the most fascinating medieval cities in the Arab world. Discover its historic monuments, elegant madrasas and the atmosphere of its medina through a slower-paced visit designed for comfort, with shorter walking sections and time to pause along the way. As you explore its vibrant quarters, you will encounter artisans, hidden courtyards and the distinctive charm that makes Fes so captivating. (B)

Fes
This morning, enjoy a Moroccan cooking experience with a local chef, offering an introduction to the flavours, spices and traditions that define the country’s cuisine. Lunch follows this warm and authentic culinary moment. The afternoon is left free for rest or personal exploration at your own pace, allowing time to enjoy Fes in a more relaxed way. (B/L)
Day 6
Midelt
Today’s journey south is broken up with an overnight stop in Midelt, creating a more comfortable pace. Travel through the Middle Atlas with scenic and comfort stops along the way, including time to enjoy the mountain landscapes and the fresh air of this quieter region of Morocco. Arrive in Midelt in the afternoon with time to rest before dinner. (B/D)
Day 7
Merzouga
Continue south through changing landscapes, from rocky plateaus to the first desert horizons. With regular rest stops along the way, you’ll arrive in the Merzouga area by late afternoon to settle in at your hotel and enjoy time to unwind before dinner. (B/L/D)
Day 8
Merzouga
Set off in 4x4 vehicles to Khamlia, a small desert village known for its unique cultural identity and warm hospitality. Here, enjoy a hands-on cooking workshop to learn how to prepare Medfouna, the typical Berber pizza of southern Morocco, followed by lunch in the village. Later, continue into the dunes and arrive at Madu Luxury Desert Camp. The rest of the afternoon is intentionally left light to allow time to unwind and fully appreciate the silence and beauty of the Sahara. In the evening, enjoy dinner around the fire accompanied by traditional music beneath the stars. (B/L/D)
Day 9
Boumalne Dades
Leave the desert behind and continue westward through striking southern landscapes. Pause in the Todgha Gorge, where immense canyon walls and fresh mountain air invite a gentle walk or simply time to enjoy the scenery at leisure. By late afternoon, arrive in Boumalne Dades and enjoy a tea ceremony with locals, a simple yet meaningful opportunity to experience Moroccan hospitality. Day 10
Marrakech
Today’s route crosses some of southern Morocco’s most iconic scenery. Stop at Aït Ben Haddou, the country’s most famous ksar (North African fortified village) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A shorter and easier walking route can be arranged if desired. Continue over the High Atlas towards Marrakech, where a completely different rhythm and atmosphere await. (B/L)
Day 11
Marrakech
This morning, discover Marrakech with a guided visit combining its key monuments with a flavourful food tour, offering a lively introduction to the city’s history, architecture and cuisine. From elegant landmarks to hidden tastings, the experience reveals the city through both its heritage and its flavours. The afternoon is free to rest, stroll through the souks or enjoy the medina at your own pace. (B)
Day 12
Marrakech
Begin the day with a visit to the Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, a refined and colourful oasis that reflects the artistic soul of Marrakech. In the afternoon, choose between an optional cultural activity such as a perfume creation workshop or an artisan experience like zellige or calligraphy (depending on availability). Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 13
Marrakech
Escape the city for a day in the High Atlas Mountains, where winding roads lead through beautiful valleys and traditional Berber villages. Lunch with a local family offers a warm and memorable insight into everyday hospitality in the Atlas. (B/L)
Day 14
Casablanca
After breakfast, depart by coach back to Casablanca for the final evening of the journey. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy time to relax before departure the following day. (B)
