Activity Level: Moderate. Explore Prince Edward Island on a 6-day tour blending Indigenous culture, a shellfish festival and an unforgettable farm-to-fire dining experiences.
Day 1
Charlottetown – Arrive in Charlottetown on your flight from Toronto or Winnipeg and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy time to unwind or explore before gathering this evening for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2
Charlottetown – Travel to Lennox Island, located in Malpeque Bay and home to the Lennox Island First Nation. Spend the day connecting with Mi’kmaq culture through hands-on activities, scenic surroundings and time with local artisans. Choose between quillwork on birch bark or The Beat of the Drum, then return to Charlottetown for a traditional lobster dinner. (B/D)
Day 3
Charlottetown – Experience the renowned PEI International Shellfish Festival, a four-day celebration of the island’s seafood culture. Enjoy chef demonstrations, culinary competitions and local entertainment before attending the festival’s signature Feast & Frolic event. The evening includes unlimited PEI oysters, interactive food stations and a three-course dinner highlighting local lobster, Island Certified Beef and PEI potatoes, with appearances by celebrity chefs. Day 4
Charlottetown – Enjoy a full day at leisure at the PEI International Shellfish Festival. Choose from cooking demonstrations, competitions and live East Coast music, or explore downtown Charlottetown at your own pace. Transportation between the hotel and festival grounds is provided. (B)
Day 5
Fortune – Begin the day with a scenic solar-powered cruise through Charlottetown Harbour, taking in coastal views while enjoying locally inspired food and beverages onboard. Continue to Souris for an exclusive culinary visit at The Inn at Bay Fortune, where you will enjoy a special meet and greet with Chef Michael Smith upon your arrival. Tour the Inn at Bay Fortune’s culinary farm, which produces over 200 different fruits and vegetables every year. Enjoy foodie events hosted by Chef Michael, including an Oyster Hour, then savour a unique dining experience that takes place over four hours featuring ingredients from the Culinary Farm as well as locally foraged tastes. Charlottetown – After breakfast, transfer to Charlottetown Airport for your return flight home. (B)

Extraordinary Explorations vacations are organized and booked by CAA Travel (South Central Ontario) Inc. and CAA Manitoba (“CAA Travel”) on behalf of CAA Club Group (o/a CAA South Central Ontario and CAA Manitoba). In the event of an increase in any of the cost factors, CAA Travel reserves the right to increase the price whereby the provisions of the Travel Industry Act shall prevail. Deposit is non-refundable at the time of booking. Final payment is due 120 days before departure. CAA Extraordinary Explorations packages are 100% non-refundable at final payment. CAA Travel service fee for cancellation prior to final payment varies by program. For full payment terms and conditions, please ask your CAA Travel Consultant. CAA Travel reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements (minimum number of participants) or circumstances beyond its control. Please note: Participants must be able to embark and disembark cruise ships and coaches without assistance as well as have a good level of mobility for walking tours in destinations where stairs and traditional cobblestone streets can be challenging. International transportation vehicles and facilities may not meet accessibility standards.

Day 1
Charlottetown
Begin your journey with a flight from Toronto or Winnipeg to Charlottetown. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and settle in. The rest of the day is yours to ease into island life and wander the waterfront, explore historic streets or simply relax. This evening, gather with your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2
Charlottetown
Travel to Lennox Island, a 540-hectare island in Malpeque Bay and home to the Lennox Island First Nation. Visitors from around the world come here to engage with Mi’kmaq culture through scenic walking trails, traditional artistry and hands-on experiences. Connect with the land, meet local artisans and take part in immersive activities such as quillwork on birch bark or The Beat of the Drum. Return to Charlottetown this evening for a traditional lobster dinner. (B/D)
Day 3
Charlottetown
Experience the world-renowned PEI International Shellfish Festival, a four-day celebration of the island’s celebrated shellfish. Spend the day enjoying chef demonstrations, culinary competitions and lively local entertainment. This evening, attend the festival’s signature opening-night event, Feast & Frolic, presented by the Lobster Fishers of PEI. Highlights include the world’s largest oyster bar with unlimited PEI oysters, interactive food stations showcasing island flavours and a three-course dinner featuring PEI lobster, Island Certified Beef and PEI potatoes, with appearances by Food Network celebrity chefs. Charlottetown
Enjoy a full free day at the PEI International Shellfish Festival. Explore a lively schedule of competitions, cooking demonstrations and East Coast musical entertainment. Your tour director and driver will provide transportation between the hotel and the festival grounds. Spend the day enjoying the festivities or take time to explore charming downtown Charlottetown. Day 5
Fortune
Begin the morning aboard a solar-electric vessel for a relaxed cruise through Charlottetown Harbour. Settle into comfortable booth seating and enjoy sweeping coastal views while sampling locally inspired food and beverages from the onboard licensed kitchen. This afternoon, travel to The Inn at Bay Fortune for a special meet and greet with Chef Michael Smith, PEI food ambassador and bestselling cookbook author, upon your arrival. Your visit includes a guided tour of the inn’s culinary farm, home to more than 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables, followed by foodie events hosted by Chef Michael, including an Oyster Hour with freshly shucked PEI oysters and the Fireworks Feast, an immersive, multi-course dining experience prepared over open fire. Charlottetown
Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Charlottetown Airport. Bid farewell to your tour director and driver as you prepare for your return flight home. (B)
