Take in the best of Western Canada on this 6-day journey that brings together Banff’s alpine setting, a rail experience through the Rockies and time in Vancouver. Begin in Banff with a guided arrival and an evening ride up Sulphur Mountain, followed by dinner overlooking six surrounding ranges. Enjoy a full day to explore Banff at your own pace before boarding the Rocky Mountaineer for a two-day journey through some of the country’s most striking landscapes. Travel past glacier-carved valleys, winding canyons and historic rail landmarks as you make your way to Kamloops, then continue west to Vancouver with time to explore the city and soak in the quiet energy of the Pacific Coast.

Day 1
Banff – Depart from Toronto or Winnipeg for your journey to Banff. Upon arrival at Calgary International Airport, meet your local guide and transfer to Banff, taking in a scenic sightseeing tour as you enter the heart of the Rockies. This evening, ascend Sulphur Mountain aboard the Banff Gondola for breathtaking 360‑degree views across six surrounding mountain ranges. Your day ends with a mountaintop dinner at Sky Bistro, where refined cuisine is paired with remarkable views. (D)
Day 2
Banff – Spend the day at leisure exploring the charming town of Banff, set within Canada’s first national park. Part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the area is known for its dramatic mountain peaks, turquoise lakes and abundant wildlife, offering endless opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor adventure. (B)
Day 3
Kamloops – Depart early this morning and board the iconic Rocky Mountaineer for a memorable journey from Banff to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s Interior. Breakfast and lunch are onboard the train. As the train travels west, take in ever-changing scenery such as glacier-carved valleys, snow-capped peaks, winding mountain passes and expansive ranch lands. You’ll see the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the final spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Arrive in Kamloops this evening and settle in for your overnight stay. (B/L)
Day 4
Vancouver – Continue your journey aboard the Rocky Mountaineer this morning as you travel west toward the Pacific Coast and the city of Vancouver. Breakfast and lunch are onboard the train. Highlights include the cliffs and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the powerful waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey concludes upon arrival in Vancouver this evening. Overnight in Vancouver. (B/L)

Vancouver – Meet your local guide this morning for your transfer to the airport for your return flight to Toronto or Winnipeg. (B)
